I became interested in scroll sawing when I saw some scroll-sawn ornaments in a craft store. After bragging to my husband that "I could do that" he surprised me and brought home a scroll saw. He had gotten the scroll saw through a friend at work that had just bought a new saw and didn't need the old one any more. Once he brought it home my husband cleared a place in his workshop for me and told me to "get started". My first projects were a just a couple of simple whale and frog silhouettes. I was hooked. I went out and bought a book of patterns and was on my way. As my skills got better I started making candle boxes. My first candle boxes were of some Halloween designs that were intended to be for myself. When I completed them I was so happy I brought them into work to show my friends and before I knew it I was taking orders to make some for them.

My candle boxes are made from 1/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. They are 4"h (in front) X 2"h (in back) X 4"w X 4"d. Behind the front design is a square of frosted glass. This diffuses the light from the candle quite nicely. It also comes with a glass votive holder and a scented votive to get you started. My night lights are also made from the same 1/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. They are 4"h X 4"w X 4"d. They also have the square of frosted glass behind the front design. Included is a 6’ long night light cord with a 4 watt bulb. My clocks may be made from a variety of woods. The smaller ones may be made out of 3/4" poplar or 1/2"oak. The larger Anniversary Clock is made from 1/4" red oak.
